Our recent study published in the American Journal of Distance Education, explored the impact of providing scaffolds for virtual experiments in the context of an undergraduate biology course. We found that learning from virtual experiments in science depends not only on technological advancements but also on attention students' individual differences. We hope this work encourages educators and researchers to delve deeper into meeting students' needs in online environments, paving the way for a more inclusive and effective educational experience.
