New Pub Alert: Do African American Male and Female Adolescents Differ in Technological Engagement?

African African women are underrepresented in careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). This work takes an intersectional perspective to understand African American teens' experiences with technology as a means of better understanding how to address this leak in the STEM pipeline.

The paper, now available in Sex Roles, is the results of a Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation project that surveyed more than 1,000 African American teens and their parents to better understand how African American boys and girls interact with technology.
