Excited to Share Our Latest Publication in Applied Cognitive Psychology!


In this Stage 2 Registered Report, we examined how explanation prompts during (think-aloud vs. self-explain) and after reading (reread, recall, or explanatory retrieval) affect comprehension of science texts after a 7-day delay. We found that self-explaining during reading improved comprehension, especially when followed by any kind of retrieval.
