COGNITION * LEARNING * EDUCATION
Kathryn S. McCarthy
ABOUT ME
I am an Associate Professor of Educational Psychology in the
Department of Learning Sciences at Georgia State University.
I am interested in how people read and learn from what they read. I use a variety of methods to investigate how the qualities of the task, text, and reader affect comprehension. From an applied standpoint, I investigate the feasibility and efficacy of in-person and computer-based interventions to support the development of readers who can successfully read in a variety of disciplines and situations.
Please visit the Disciplinary Comprehension Lab website to learn more about about my current projects
